Location: Coppell, TX 75019 (Hybrid - 1 day remote) 
Rate:$42 - $46 per hour

About the Role        
We're seeking a visionary DevOps Architect to lead both strategic initiatives and technical implementation of our DevOps transformation. This dual-focused role will spend 30% of time developing and championing our DevOps Center of Excellence (CoE) strategy while dedicating 70% to hands-on technical leadership. The ideal candidate will combine enterprise architecture expertise with business acumen to drive organizational change and establish standardized deployment patterns across our global operations.

Job Responsibilities  
  • Strategic Responsibilities (30%)
  • Design and establish a DevOps Center of Excellence (CoE), including governance framework, operating model, and metrics
  • Develop comprehensive business cases for continued investment in DevOps transformation initiatives
  • Create and maintain DevOps capability maturity models and assessment frameworks
  • Define ROI metrics and KPIs for measuring DevOps transformation success
  • Establish standardized processes, tools, and best practices across the organization
  • Drive cultural transformation and adoption of DevOps practices
  • Create strategic roadmaps for tool consolidation and optimization
  • Technical Responsibilities (70%)
  • Architect Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Bicep/ARM templates
  • Design enterprise-wide security and compliance frameworks for cloud infrastructure
  • Lead the development of reusable infrastructure components and deployment patterns
  • Establish automated lifecycle management processes
  • Design self-service capabilities for cloud infrastructure provisioning
  • Provide technical oversight for global migration initiatives
Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Relevant Azure certifications (Azure Solutions Architect Expert required)
  • TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification
  • 14+ years of experience in DevOps/Infrastructure engineering roles
  • 5+ years in architectural or strategic leadership positions
  • Experience building and leading Centers of Excellence
  • Track record of successful enterprise-wide transformation initiatives
  • Experience with value stream mapping and process optimization

Required Technical Skills
  • Expert-level knowledge of Azure DevOps (ADO) and GitHub Actions
  • Ability to create best practices for migration of existing Azure DevOps to GitHub Actions and executing on the migration activities.
  • Advanced expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code using Bicep and ARM templates
  • Deep understanding of cloud security architecture and compliance frameworks
  • Strong background in DevSecOps practices and security automation
  • Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF preferred)
  • Expertise in CI/CD pipeline design and implementation

Required Strategic Skills
  • Proven experience in establishing and scaling DevOps CoEs
  • Strong business case development and financial modeling capabilities
  • Experience with organizational change management
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business value propositions
  • Excellence in stakeholder management and executive communication
  • Track record of developing and implementing governance frameworks
