Position Overview

Inabia is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join its Rehabilitation Therapy team. The COTA works under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to assist residents in improving functional abilities and regaining independence following illness, injury, or surgery.

The facility provides short-term rehabilitation and long-term care services, focusing on improving quality of life and supporting patient recovery.


Key Responsibilities

  • Implement occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.

  • Assist residents with therapeutic activities designed to improve strength, coordination, mobility, and daily living skills.

  • Provide therapy focused on self-care activities, functional mobility, and adaptive techniques.

  • Monitor and document patient progress and therapy outcomes.

  • Educate residents and caregivers on home exercise programs and adaptive equipment.

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and treatment notes according to regulatory and facility guidelines.

  • Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to support comprehensive patient care and recovery goals.


Qualifications

  • Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

  • Active California COTA license required.

  • Previous experience in skilled nursing, post-acute care, or rehabilitation preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and patient care skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary rehabilitation environment.
