Labor and Delivery RN

This travel assignment is for an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse supporting a Family Birth Center in Livingston, Montana. The position requires a clinician who can function independently and safely across the complete perinatal continuum.

Two night-shift openings are available to provide coverage for open positions and employee time-off requests. Applicants must review the separate contract dates before applying.

Position Details

• Location: 320 Alpenglow Lane, Livingston, MT 59047

• Contract Type: Travel RN

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks

• FTE: 0.9

• Hours: 36 hours per week

• Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week

• Shift Hours: 6:45 p.m.–7:15 a.m.

• Training: Both day- and night-shift training is required

Responsibilities

• Provide Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum care.

• Perform Mother-Baby couplet care.

• Manage patients from triage through discharge home with the baby.

• Support scheduled and unscheduled cesarean sections.

• Safely prioritize and manage multiple patients in collaboration with the care team.

• Float to Medical-Surgical as a resource RN when the Family Birth Center is closed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of recent Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum, and Mother-Baby experience.

• Full competency across all Family Birth Center care areas.

• At least one completed travel RN contract.

• Active, unrestricted RN license with compact or Montana eligibility, as applicable.

• Current AWHONN Fetal Heart Monitoring certification.

• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification.

• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification.
