Job Description:
Business System Analyst will be responsible for contributing to the development of web-based applications. This person will act as a liaison between business and technology, should be skilled in translating business requirements into system requirements and should have excellent communication skills. The person will be partially responsible for carrying out the Scrum Master responsibilities and ensuring adherence to delivery timelines.

Job Description:
Business System Analyst will be responsible for contributing to the development of web-based applications. This person will act as a liaison between business and technology, should be skilled in translating business requirements into system requirements and should have excellent communication skills. The person will be partially responsible for carrying out the Scrum Master responsibilities and ensuring adherence to delivery timelines.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Gathering, analyzing, documenting, and translating business requirements into system requirements that can be used to design and implement solutions to meet the business objectives
- Understanding the business requirements/processes and the interdependencies of various systems in use
- Facilitating interactive discussions with the business and technology teams to achieve solutions
- Documenting business process flow and creating data mapping documents
- Identifying and communicating risks, issues, and potential solution strategies along with providing status updates to PMs and leaders
- Collaborating with architects to ensure alignment of requirements with system capabilities
- Analyzing service response through REST or Postman
- Creating stories and adding acceptance criteria in JIRA
- Assisting developers and testers for any clarification and tracking the stories to closure
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of business system analyst experience across various projects.
- Domain Experience in Primary and secondary market products (i.e., Equities, Mutual Funds, ETFs, REITS etc.), Wealth Management Process flows (Managed Products),Retirement Solutions (i.e. Annuities, Insurance products), Portfolio Management and visualization tools.
- Hands on Experience with RIA workspace and managed account concepts like Unified Managed Accounts, Separately Managed Accounts, Morningstar direct workstation, and Investcloud APL tool stack
- Strong background in requirements elicitation, business process mapping – producing FRDS and BRDs
- Experience on web-based applications
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in articulating the requirements solutions with larger audience, proposing recommendations, and discussing issues
- Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Self-starter to understand and deliver with minimal oversight.
- Ability to handle changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and work with within tight timelines
- Familiarity with agile methodologies, JIRA, Visio, Excel and API testing through REST or Postman
Technical skills Required
- Knowledge of RESTful webservices with hands on experience in configuring/testing them through POSTMAN/SOAP UI/Advanced Rest Client.
- Hands on experience in basic troubleshooting of issues in Web Applications and Single Page Apps using standard developer tools available in browsers.
- Hands on experience in writing service specifications and maintaining them through Swagger or alternative tools. (Nice to have)
- Knowledge of Power BI tools and usage/configuration of Power BI reports (Nice to have)
