Overview
Inabia is seeking a NOC Engineer to monitor, support, and maintain mission-critical network and telecommunications infrastructure at our Omaha, Nebraska location. This is an onsite, shift-based role available on 2nd shift (3:15 PM – 11:15 PM CDT) and 3rd shift (11:15 PM – 7:15 AM CDT). The ideal candidate brings proven NOC or network operations experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a dedication to maintaining high system availability across enterprise and operational technology environments.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and support enterprise and OT network infrastructure around the clock
- Perform network fault detection, troubleshooting, and incident resolution
- Support microwave radio communication and backhaul systems
- Coordinate with telecom vendors, ISPs, and third-party service providers
- Manage incidents, escalations, and SLA-driven service restoration activities
- Support Linux-based systems and related applications
- Execute scheduled maintenance activities, upgrades, and configuration changes
- Create detailed incident reports and root cause analysis (RCA) documentation
- Participate in shift-based and on-call operations as required
Key Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in NOC, Network Operations, Telecom, ISP, or Network Support environments
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, Routing & Switching, VLANs, DNS/DHCP, VPNs, and network monitoring tools
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and WAN connectivity
- Experience supporting Telecom Carrier, ISP, or Enterprise Networks
- Linux administration and troubleshooting experience
- Solid understanding of Incident Management, Problem Management, and Root Cause Analysis methodologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to documentation quality
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder (required for this position)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in railway, transportation, or critical infrastructure environments
- Knowledge of Positive Train Control (PTC), Centralized Traffic Control (CTC), Rail Communication Networks, and SCADA/OT environments
- Hands-on experience with monitoring platforms such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, or Zabbix
- Active certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, RHCSA, LPIC, or Linux+
