Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a 12-week travel assignment at Buchanan County Health Center in Independence, Iowa. This position requires a nurse who is comfortable working 12-hour variable shifts, including both day and night assignments. The schedule includes coverage across weekdays, weekends, and holidays, so candidates should be flexible with scheduling and available to work different shift types based on department needs.

The ER RN will provide nursing care to patients presenting to the emergency department, assess patient conditions, support treatment plans, monitor patient status, and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Candidates should be comfortable working in a hospital emergency department and responding effectively to changing patient needs. TNCC certification is required for this assignment. The position is suited for an experienced ER RN who can adapt to a variable schedule and work effectively in a fast-paced emergency care environment. Candidates should maintain appropriate clinical standards, communicate effectively with the care team, and provide safe, patient-focused emergency nursing care throughout the assignment.
