Occupational Therapist

This Occupational Therapist position focuses on completing assessments, providing treatments, and supporting individualized therapy programs. The role involves working with clients who have a variety of diagnoses.

The therapist will also collaborate with team members, attend client meetings, train staff, and complete required documentation and reports within established deadlines.

Position Details

• Location: 11640 US Highway 87 North, Carlsbad, TX 76934

• Schedule: Five 8-hour day shifts

Responsibilities

• Complete occupational therapy assessments.

• Perform treatments and monitor client progress.

• Develop programs for individuals with a variety of diagnoses.

• Provide training to clients and staff.

• Complete required documentation and reports accurately by established deadlines.

• Attend client meetings or provide requested information when needed.

• Communicate relevant information to other team members.

• Teach Direct Support Professional staff working in residential homes.

• Follow all applicable HHSC policies, rules, and regulations.

Qualifications

• Occupational therapy knowledge and skills required to perform assessments and treatments.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate with clients, staff, and other team members.

• Ability to complete quality documentation within required deadlines.

• Must conduct professional activities according to Texas rules and regulations relating to Physical Therapist education, licensure, and practice.
